Branding and packaging design for a new rum brand. Olokun, meaning "Owner of the ocean," is an androgynous orisha or god representing wealth, healing, and the vastness of the sea. As we researched the origins of rum we got into the voudou religions in the West Indies and were intrigued by the many symbols and mysteries surrounding Yoruba. For our design we created our own symbols as a tribute and gave the rum the name Olokun. Concept and design together with Jonas Torvestig.
